Jim,
My husband and I would like to thank you for the wonderful meal last Wednesday at Henry Ford. It was his birthday that day and it was a great way to celebrate with someone else doing the cooking.
I said that I would give you the name of the celiac bakery in Novi. They have a website and it is http://www.celiacspecialtiesshop.com . Also another of my favorite website to find recipes and deserts is Glutenfreeda they have it very well organized.
Jim, My question is: How could you bear to leave the glorious sun and sand of Redondo Beach for the ice fields of Michigan? It certainly sounds like you are warming up the place with your talent. My hat is off to the best chef in South Bay, California and my neighbor. I hope I can make it out to the Rugby Grille and see if you still have to spark of genius I so fondly recall.
Ron,
I think you are referring to another chef. While I do agree the Cali sounds better than Michigan. I have not lived there.
I would still love you to come and try my “genius” however. If you find yourself traveling to our ice fields please call on me.
Chef Jim
Chef,
I am very impressed with the menus you have on your website for the Rugby Grill. I look forward to dining there soon! Are these menus kept current on the website?
Steve
I am Glad you like what you see. The menus are updated a few times a month, weekly specials are verbalized by our waitstaff so they won’t appear anywhere. When you make your reservation please have the host make a note to have me come out to your table.
See you soon,
Chef Jim
I just attended your “Party Starters” class at The Village Club and was looking for the recipes as I wanted to try them out for my friends. Can you please direct me to that part of your blog? Thanks again – the class was GREAT! I will contact you in the upcoming months about doing something similiar for the Junior League of Birmingham.
Regards,
Amy
P.S. My husband loved the samples I brought home for him too!
Will you have poached lobster Benedict with Roasted Asparagus on your menu for Mothers Day? My mom seen you do this recipe on the news and she wants to try!! Please let me know for I can make reservations.
Hi Jim
I just returned from a couple of weeks away and was hoping to find the remaining recipes from our Village Club class on your blog. They may be there but once again double clicking on the recipe tab does not open them. Would appreciate any help in getting the full set of them!
Karen,
I have updated a few more recipes into the system. Please check it out, My next blog will be on cold summer soups. I will be sure to include the Gazpacho recipe.
Hope you had a great Vacation!

Hi Jim
I have tried from several different computers and a couple of browsers to open the recipes from the Village Club class. Unfortunately, nothing works. Could you have your IT folks look at this? I have talked to others who have the same problem with this web site.
THANKS!
Hello again Jim
Your IT folks did contact me and I appreciate that. However, what they sent was the 2 original recipes posted some time ago ‘Spinach & Artichoke Dip’ and ‘Beef Satay w/Cucumber Kim Chi’.
Our class was back on April 23rd (6 weeks ago) but as I recall we enjoyed something like 6 or 7 party starters and I’m sure all of the attendees would like to have ALL of these recipes. I am interested in the one with the pita chips and grilled haloumi cheese.
